Martin Scorsese created a documentary series that you can find on Netflix entitled "Pretend it's a city" whose protagonist is the New York author and commentator Fran Lebovitz.
It's great fun to discover aspects of New York's cultural life that shine through Fran Lebovitz's speeches. Even though I think she's overly judgmental from time to time, she's still a very sharp character who lived through the most interesting years of the New York scene and is definitely worth getting to know. This could be a good opportunity to find out!
