Have you ever been skeptical about practices such as meditation, yoga, etc. I admit it, often. But lately I realized that if I continued to fight against what we are all going through I would only come out more tired, more nervous and defeated. Instead, I decided to put my cynicism aside and do a little bit of everything. But really everything. And those who hang out with me know that when I decide to try something, no one can stop me anymore. So my husband went from finding burnt sage around the house, to moments where I didn't speak because I was "meditating", to phases where I didn't touch my phone for hours because I decided I "had to detox." Finally I came across an American guru called Gabby Bernstein. Believe it or not, this girl is very tough and transmits an energy that I certainly wouldn't want to do without today. It is clearly in English, unfortunately. For those who speak it and are curious, go and discover it! www.gabbybernstein.com
MUSEUM moment. The LOUVRE preserves an archive of works of art whose overall value has been judged incalculable, which is defined as "the memory of humanity" and includes approximately 250,000 paintings, drawings, statues and objects. These works, which belong to the LOUVRE and have so far been stored in special warehouses in the same building and in the surroundings of Paris, will soon be transferred to Liévin, northern France, where a huge warehouse has been built to contain them all. Many in Paris said they were disappointed with this choice to "divide" the Museum in two. The choice, it was then explained, is due to the imminent risk of a flood of the Seine (it happens cyclically once every 100 years, the last one was in 1910) which could ruin the works forever. However, a curious debate has arisen about why so many valuable works are not shown to the public. The directors have justified themselves by saying that it is to protect the works from light, or that they are not of sufficient importance to be exhibited, or even because the public's tastes have changed. Who knows... It seems more likely to me that it is instead a strategy dictated by profit behind this choice, but we will never know.
